Immunisation protects children against a range of preventable and life-threatening diseases and infections. Some recommended vaccines are funded by the government. Routine immunisations for children under four include; chickenpox, hepatitis B, measles, meningococcal, mumps, polio, pneumococcal, rubella, tetanus and whooping cough.
